The legal period for purchasing and exploding fireworks in the Emporia city limits is over.
Lyon County Emergency Communications reported nine complaints Wednesday night, on par for the reports since this past weekend.
Throughout the legal sales and discharge period between June 27 and Wednesday, Emergency Communications reported 55 complaints, below last year’s total of 72.
