Residents wanting to give their input on how the Emporia Recreation Commission should proceed with a recreation center building need to complete a survey soon.
The Rec Commission’s Needs Assessment Survey is available online at emporiarec.org. Questions include whether residents are satisfied with the current Lee Beran Recreation Center as a whole, how often residents use the Rec Center’s amenities and satisfaction levels for those features, possible improvements, possible new programs and desired location.
The survey is the latest step in the Rec Commission’s conversation on facilities. The Future Funding Task Force, which started meetings earlier this year, will use the survey data to help develop recommendations for either expanding the current rec center, taking over another existing space or building a brand-new facility.
The survey period ends Sunday.
