Chances of rainfall for Friday and Saturday aren’t as impressive as they were in Thursday’s forecasts, but there is still a chance of rain both days and an outside chance of severe weather Friday.
The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal severe weather risk for all area counties. The National Weather Service says storms could develop in the afternoon evening hours with small hail and gusty winds as the main concerns. Currently, there is a moderate chance of storm coverage for Friday afternoon and evening, followed by a slight chance of storms Saturday morning.
Projected rain amounts are also lower than thought Thursday. There were concerns of up to 2 inches of rain after 1-4.5 inches of rain areawide Thursday. Now it appears the arew will get 0.25 inches or less through late Friday night.
