Visitors to the Dale DeLong property Saturday received an up-close look at the evolution of the tools of the agriculture industry thanks to the annual Flint Hills Antique Power Association tractor show and pull.
Saturday was the second time in four years the DeLong property has hosted the event and Dale DeLong tells KVOE News hosting is a hard job, but a rewarding one as well. Saturday’s show included an impressive list of antique Oliver tractors.
DeLong says it is very important to have events like this as it not only shows how far technology has come in recent years, he believes it also gives younger farmers an appreciation for the past, present and future of the industry.
In addition to the various tractors on display, Saturday also included various demonstrations and a tractor pull competition.
