The Kansas City Royals go into the All-Star break on a high note. The Royals defeated the Cleveland Guardians 4-1 to end a 6-game losing skid Sunday.
Kyle Isbel hit a solo home run to tie the game at 1 in the 5th inning. The Royals added 3 runs in the 6th inning, Freddy Fermin doubled to drive in Salvador Perez and Michael Massey tripled to drive in Freddy Fermin and Kyle Isbel. Isbel was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.
Ryan Yarbrough was the winning pitcher in his first game back after being hit by a line drive in May.
The Royals are off until Friday when they host the Tampa Bay Rays.
Salvador Perez will be the lone Royal at the All-Star game.
The Royals go into the All-Star Break with a record of 26-65.
