An Ohio man was hurt in a semi crash in southeast Osage County late Sunday night.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says deputies began receiving reports of the crash on Interstate 35 just east of the Waverly exit shortly before 10:40 pm. As they arrived they found the semi driven by 56-year-old Ismael Rage of Columbus, Ohio, had rolled onto its side, blocking both northbound lanes of traffic in the process.
Rage was taken to an unspecified hospital with minor injuries afterward.
Northbound traffic was blocked at least partially for about three hours after the crash was reported. Cleanup continued well into the afternoon hours.
It’s unclear why Rage lost control of the semi.
Besides deputies, Osage County EMS, Osage County Fire District 3 Melvern and Waverly Fire all responded to the scene.
