Believe it or not, it’s time to start enrolling children for the upcomig school year.
USD 253 Emporia officially begins the process Monday, and Community Relations Director Lyndel Landgren says parents should be getting their official paperwork before the end of the week. For parents of returning children, there shouldn’t be any changes to the process from past years.
Landgren says parents using the online enrollment process can take care of related fees if they set up a RevTrak account. Parents can also go online to usd253.org to apply for free or reduced meals if they so choose.
Online enrollment ends Aug. 1. After that, parents need to go to the Flint Hills Learning Center inside Flinthills Mall — and they need to set up appointments. Parents can call 620-341-2396 to set appointments or get questions answered.
