Newman Regional Health Medical Partners is adding to its physician team.
Dr. Charisse Symmonds has agreed to join the team to practice internal medicine, specializing in primary care and diabetes management.
Following her graduation from Northern Heights High School near Allen, Symmonds received her bachelor of science degree in biology from Emporia State University. She also received her doctor of medicine degree and master of science from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Symmonds has worked at Cotton O’Neil in Emporia and Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. She has served as president of the Newman Regional Health medical staff and as EMS medical director in Franklin County. She also serves as co-owner and medical director of High Plains Wellness and Sunflower Care Homes.
