After seven seasons as head coach and nine with the program, Chase County football coach Brody Vandegrift has stepped down.
Vandegrift, who was a Rule-10 coach at Chase County, says the decision to step down was based on a new job he accepted.
During his time as head coach, he helped Chase Country transition from playing 11-man to 8-man. This past season, the Bulldogs made it to the sectional round falling to Little River.
Vandegrift says he’ll miss Friday Nights and being around the team.
Vandegrift won 37 games in his seven seasons as head coach of the Bulldogs.
A search for a new head coach has begun.
