The Detroit Tigers rallied for a 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night.
The Royals scored 2 runs in the 4th inning, M J Melendez scored on a Freddy Fermin single, and Fermin scored on a Nick Pratto single to take a 2-0 lead.
Jordan Lyles held the Tigers in check for 6 innings. Detroit would score 3 runs in the 8th inning as Jose Cuas gave up a bases-loaded walk followed by a 2 run double.
The Royals and Tigers play again Tuesday night. Daniel Lynch will be the starting pitcher with the first pitch at 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
