The Kansas City Royals held on for an 11-10 win over the Detroit Tigers last night. The Royals scored 5 runs in the 4th inning to take a 7-2 lead and never trailed the rest of the game. Detriot scored 4 runs in the 9th inning to make the end of the game interesting.
Dairon Blanco led the offense going 4 for 4 missed hitting for the cycle by a home run. Royals manager Matt Quatraro said it was a special night for Blanco.
Maikel Garcia was 2 for 4 with 4 RBI. Edward Olivares drove in 3 runs. Daniel Lynch was the winning pitcher.
The Royals and Tigers play again Wednesday night, Ryan Yarbrough gets the start for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
