The Detroit Tigers slipped past the Kansas City Royals 3-2 Wednesday night.
The Royals scored 2 runs in the 5th. Michael Massey doubled to drive in the first run.
Massey would score on a Kyle Isbel double to give the Royals a 2-1 lead. That lead did not last long, Detroit would score 2 runs in the top of the 6th to retake the lead.
The Royals and Tigers wrap up their 4 game series Thursday afternoon. Zack Greinke, coming off the injured list, will make the start for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 1:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals Wednesday also placed Daniel Lynch on the 15-day injury list with a left shoulder strain. They have recalled Austin Cox from Omaha.
