Unemployment was down slightly between May and June according to the latest report from the Kansas Department of Labor.

Locally, jobless rates were up across the board between May and June including in Lyon County where the unemployment rate rose from 2.6 to 3.1. Coffey County has the highest rate at 3.7 up from 3.5 in May.
Chase County has the lowest rate for the month at 2.5, up from 2.0 in May. Elsewhere, Osage County was up from 2.6 to 3.0, Morris County rose to 3.0 from 2.5 while Greenwood County increased from 3.0 to 3.2 and Wabaunsee County increased to 2.8 from 2.6.
