Traffic across a pair of east Emporia railroad crossings will be shifted for the time being.
Earlier this month, KVOE News reported the crossings at East and Peyton could be reopened to traffic by the end of this week after maintenance projects. Lyon County Emergency Communications now says Road Safe will close both crossings for up to two weeks, meaning maintenance work will last into early August.
