Emporia Recreation Commission’s Corporate Challenge kicks off Monday evening.
The first competition in this year’s challenge will be cornhole on the back patio at the headquarters of Dynamic Discs.
Now in its 21st year of existence, this year’s Corporate Challenge is earlier than in the past. ERC Wellness Supervisor Aaron Hammond says the schedule change may have slightly impacted turnout this year, but he expects increased turnout down the road.
Local businesses have also stepped up to host competitions. Like in the past, Flint Hills Lanes and Emporia Family Fun Center have hosted bowling and putt putt. Mulready’s Pub hosted trivia last year.
Businesses hosting events that are new this year include Dynamic Discs and the Del 5ive Events Center, which will host trivia.
Hammond will provide Corporate Challenge updates around 8:45 a.m. Monday through Friday through next Friday on KVOE.
