Two Texas women have been arrested on suspicion of drug possession following a traffic stop in Osage County Tuesday morning.
According to Sheriff Chris Wells, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at milepost 144 on US Highway 75 near Carbondale just after 12:50 am. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly found inside of the vehicle leading to the arrests of 43-year-old Crystal M. Waterson of Eastland, Texas and 47-year-old Danielle J. Pennington of Gatesville, Texas.
Waterson was arrested for suspected possession of drug paraphernalia and meth. Meanwhile, Pennington was arrested for suspected possession of drug paraphernalia, meth and marijuana. Both are being held at the Osage County Jail at last word.
Formal charges are pending.
