Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters Serving Lyon County Director Jacque Wellnitz was pleased with the turnout from the Give a Mulligan For Kids’ Sake Golf Tournament.
Despite a warm start and high temperatures forecast above 100 degrees, 19 teams went to the Emporia Golf Course to help the cause. Wellnitz says it demonstrates the community support as local and area children reach out for mentors.
Wellnitz expects more For Kids Sake events through at least December, hoping to raise funds and awareness for the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Mentors are always in need. Residents can call 620-342-5645 if interested in mentoring or if they have questions.
