Tours, giveaways, a bounce house, cornhole and more were part of the Xpress Wellness Urgent Care grand opening activities at Sixth and Prairie on Saturday.
Xpress had been eyeing an Emporia location for several years. Chief Executive Officer Grant Asay tells KVOE News the company and community are a great fit.
Besides urgent care needs for common illnesses, minor injuries, lacerations, allergies and infections, the clinic at 2031 West Sixth will also offer an electrocardiogram, an onsite lab and X-ray services. Asay says the X-ray turnaround times for results should be within 20 minutes in many circumstance. Xpress Wellness will also have occupational medicine services, including physical exams, both for Department of Transportation and non-DOT needs, employment health screenings and drug screens.
Asay says residents can walk in for care or they can can set appointments online at xpresswellnessurgentcare.com.
Xpress Wellness will actually start seeing patients Tuesday. The Emporia clinic is the 47th total for Xpress Wellness in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
