Job Summary

Join The Sweet Granada team as a Candy Making Production Assistant developing and creating gourmet confections for our busy downtown Emporia location as well as wholesale and corporate accounts. We are seeking a friendly & motivated individual who feels at home in a fast-paced environment. If you are a team player that possesses a willingness to learn about candy-making techniques and is looking for a position with growth potential we would love to speak with you!

Summary of essential job functions

  • Developing and creating gourmet confections using traditional, handmade methods.

  • Daily cleaning and organizing of workspace to comply with FDA regulations.

Minimum requirements

  • Prior cooking, baking, and/or chocolate-making experience a plus. Have the ability to read and follow recipes.

  • Ability to lift & maneuver up to 50lbs & stand for long periods at a time.

  • Have no known food allergies and be at least 18 years of age.

Abilities required

  • A successful candidate will be an efficient, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.  Goal-driven applicants will need to demonstrate an ability to work independently. Should be comfortable with multi-tasking and following instructions.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule Monday-Fridays 8 am – 5 pm and available some holidays.
