Emporian Chesney Erkel qualified for regionals of Drive, Chip and Putt Wednesday.
Erkel finished second out of 18 competitors in the Boys 12-13 age division at a Midwest Subregional held at Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri. Erkel recorded a score of 128. His drive score was 46, 35 in chip, and 47 in putt.
Erkel will compete in a regional at Castle Pines Golf Course in Castle Rock, Colorado on September 24. Erkel will need to win the regional in order to advance to Augusta, Georgia for the national finals.
