The David Traylor Zoo’s first-ever Zoo Brew: Night in the Wild event is fast approaching.
Zoo Brew is Aug. 12. Zoo Director Lisa Keith is asking residents to get their tickets before the close of business Friday so event organizers can finalize the catering arrangements. People can get tickets for the other aspects of the event next week.
The event features music from Brickhorse, beverage options from Radius Brewing, Trolley House and Turquoise Tavern, catered food from Gourmet to Go, treats from Darcy’s Dough and zoo docents carrying around various ambassador animals. Keith says proceeds will help the zoo in several ways.
Tickets are $50, with the zoo open from 5-8 pm for the festivities. With alcohol present, the event is open to adults only. Tickets can be bought through any EFOZ member or at the zoo’s temporary office at 517 Merchant. Residents can also call 620-341-4365 with questions.
