East Emporia dealt with another water main break Friday.
The city announced a water line break on East Sixth between Dorset and Weaver. The break was on a 10-inch line and was first reported around 6:30 pm. Excavation didn’t start until after 9:30 pm to allow time for a utility locating crew from Ottawa to arrive and investigate. The goal was to have service restored no later than early Saturday morning.

East Emporia has another water main break underway.
The city announced a water line break on East Sixth between Dorset and Weaver around 7:30 pm, closing that section of East Sixth until further notice. Other details have not been announced.
Weaver Street alone had nearly 10 water main breaks between Saturday and Monday.
