Bridge work continues for over a month as part of improvements on the Kansas Turnpike north of Emporia.
The Lyon County Highway Department says Kansas Highway 99 at Road M-1 will remain closed on the east side of the bridge until at least late September. Paving work will not happen until mid-September.
The Road M driveway on the west side of K-99 at Road M is still accessible for landowners throughout this stage of the project.
The KTA has been raising bridges and handling other related improvements at highway mile markers 133 and 140 since May.
