Hetlinger Developmental Services has achieved some major milestones when it comes to serving its clients as of late.
During a call-in on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia Friday, Heltinger CEO Jill Burton announced that Hetlinger Clients have entered this year’s Lyon County Fair open class exhibits for the first time in the agency’s history. Burton says the majority of entries were products of Hetlinger’s horticulture therapy program.
Burton says taking part in the fair is not only a great chance for their clients to be more active in the community, but it’s also a great learning experience.
Hetlinger’s participation in the fair comes just a month before the agency’s annual Everyday Heroes Campaign gets into full swing. Everyday Heroes is an annual campaign where local donors can help provide opportunities for Hetlinger clients to participate in everyday recreational activities.
