Steamy stormy conditions are ahead for the KVOE listening area through the upcoming weekend.
High temperatures are once again forecasted to reach the mid 90s Friday with scattered chances of thunderstorms possible into the evening hours. Heat advisories remain in place for Lyon and most surrounding counties from noon to 8 pm and Chase County from 1 to 9 pm.
An excessive heat warning also continues for Greenwood County from 1 to 9 pm. Temperatures will remain in the upper 90s Saturday with more rain and thunderstorm chances into Sunday when temperatures will finally fall below 90 degrees for the first time in two weeks.
Temperatures are forecasted to be in the upper 80s beginning Sunday and continuing into Tuesday before highs in the mid to upper 90s return by midweek. Be sure to stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for more weather updates as they develop.
