Two Osage County locations will get state dunds for solid waste reduction efforts.
The city of Lyndon is getting over $32,000 for a wood chipper, while the Kansas Trophy Outfitters operation in Lyndon is receiving almost $63,000 for a composting trailer.
The money comes from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s solid waste reduction grants, which are funded by the state’s solid waste tonnage fee of $1 per ton and supports work related to recycling, reduction of waste sources and public education programs.
