A Topeka man has been arrested for alleged drug possession in Osage County.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says a deputy conducted a traffic stop at US Highway 75 milepost 142 for an unlisted traffic violation just before 1:55 am Tuesday. During the stop, illegal narcotics were allegedly located in a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Frederick Sanders of Topeka.
Sanders was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and was taken to the Osage County Jail. Formal charges are pending at last word.
