The situation surrounding Madison High School’s roof will be a key discussion item as part of the USD 386 Madison-Virgil board meeting Monday, but it’s far from the only item on the agenda.
In fact, the gymnasium roof repair is about halfway down the agenda for the meeting, set to begin at 7 pm Monday at the high school. The west half the roof was folded on top of the east half by high winds as part of severe storms early Sunday.
Before the discussion on the roof repair, board members will discuss setting the fiscal 2024 budget for publication purposes, as well as setting a hearing date for both the budget and the district’s revenue-neutral rate. Discussions on handbooks, meal prices and board goals are all part of the first half of the meeting.
The second half of the meeting involves information and updates on enrollment numbers, transportation matters, agriculture building construction, strategic planning and a district needs assessment.
