A preliminary hearing connected to an alleged standoff in Emporia earlier this summer has been delayed.
Dwayne Lamont Ford was originally set for a prelim Wednesday, but that got moved to Oct. 11. Prosecutors had requested the continuance with a material witness unable to appear this week.

He was arrested in late June after alleged involvement in a domestic disturbance and allegedly greeting local law enforcement with a machete in hand.
