There’s no denying the first half of the week has offered notable relief from two straight weeks of heat and humidity. At least short-term, that relief may be going away soon.
After highs around 90 degrees Thursday, high temperatures could climb to the mid-90s with heat index readings as high as 107 Friday. There is also a slight chance of storms and a marginal risk of all severe weather hazards by early evening.
As highs in the low 90s continue through the upcoming weekend, storm chances return Saturday night and pick up Sunday evening. Strong storms are possible by late afternoon Sunday.
