A man accused of attempted murder as part of a shooting incident in east Emporia this past spring has accepted a plea agreement relatively early in his court process.
As part of a preliminary hearing Thursday, Michael Brian Bradley pleaded no contest to attempted voluntary manslaughter and criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle. Other charges, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and drug possession were dismissed.
Sentencing is Sept. 22.
Bradley was accused of shooting at Samuel Gardenhire as part of an incident at Ninth and Whittier in late April.
