A new era for Emporia High football began Monday.
It was the first practice for new football coach Kaden Glinsmann.
Glinsmann says there’s a lot of excitement surrounding the program and the beginning of a new season.
Over 60 Spartans are out for football with the possibility of a few more that could join the team later in the week. Glinsmann says the primary objective for this first week is building the foundation of what he wants in the program.
The Spartans will have an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday with a time to be determined later in the week. Glinsmann says he wants to see how the team grows over this first week.
Emporia High opens its season on September 1 at home against Pittsburg.
