The Emporia State volleyball team was picked to finish 10th in the MIAA preseason coaches poll released Friday morning.
Emporia State received 19 points in the poll.
Nebraska-Kearney is the preseason favorite followed by Northwest Missouri, Central Oklahoma, Washburn, and Central Missouri rounding out the top five.
Emporia State coach Ken Murzcek will have 12 new additions when the Hornets open their season on September 1 in the Kansas City Classic against Sioux Falls.
The Hornets’ home opener is September 15 against Fort Hays State.
