Jury trial dates are on the docket for a man accused of attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping and other counts in Lyon County District Court.
Travis Wade Westcott was recently set for potential trial dates of Dec. 11-15. A status hearing is set for Dec. 6.
A motions hearing is also planned Nov. 9, and prosecutors filed several motions last week, including motions to bar “any improper and prejudicial statements by the defendant or his attorneys,” reciprocal discovery and a deadline extension to file additional motions if needed.
Westcott was originally facing 15 counts, including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated witness intimidation, stalking and criminal threat. Prosecutors amended the complaint earlier this month so Westcott is now facing 25 total counts. He’s accused of trying to kill a woman in October 2022, but he’s also accused of battery, criminal threat and stalking as connected to several alleged incidents between January 2020 and this past May.
