Pretrial, arraignment and potential trial dates are next for two suspects in a Lyon County aggravated robbery case.
Antonio Lee Brown was set for a hearing Oct. 13 after a preliminary hearing Tuesday. He has already been accused of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. Prosecutors have moved to add an alternate count of aggravated robbery and change the conspiracy count to robbery instead of aggravated robbery. Both were approved by Judge Lee Fowler, but a defense motion to modify Brown’s bond was denied.
Also, Elssy America Cervantes was set for a pretrial and arraignment Oct. 13 after her preliminary hearing in front of Judge Jeff Larson on Tuesday. As was the case with Brown, prosecutor requests to add an alternate count of aggravated robbery and change the conspiracy count to straight robbery instead of aggravated robbery were approved.
Both Brown and Cervantes are among four people accused of robbing Eduardo Uribe of a wallet, cell phone and/or keys in mid-June. Mikkel Lamont McCray was arrested Tuesday afternoon and has been charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. His first appearance is shortly after 1 pm Wednesday. Calvin Cruse, also charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, remains at large. Lyon County Crime Stoppers has offered rewards of up to $1,000 to help the capture and prosecution of Cruse and McCray.
