Water service has been restored to customers in an east Emporia neighborhood following unscheduled repair work Wednesday.
According to City Communications Manager Christine Torrens, city utility crews have completed repairs on a water leak in the 1000 block of Weaver Street. Service was disrupted for roughly three hours after the leak was reported just after 12:30 pm.

Residents on Weaver Street may notice a slight disruption to water service throughout the day.
The cause of the disruption is an ongoing water leak repair in the 1000 block of Weaver. An estimated timeframe for completion is not available at this time.
Traffic in the area is not being disrupted by the ongoing work.
