The first two days of the 5th annual No Coast Film Festival are off to a great start.
Organizer Jonny Leach tells KVOE News there were more than 60 individuals in attendance for the opening slate of films Friday night. Leach says the festival is gaining more and more attention every year on both a national and international level.
He says with the growing attention abroad, has come increased support locally from both community members and businesses. Leach says what once was a dream, has become a well embraced reality.
With the increased popularity of the festival comes more demand for the various volunteers and organizers responsible for putting it on. Leach says it is a labor of love and one that re-energizes them each year.
Activities for the festival will wrap up Sunday with a block of dramas scheduled to be screened from 1-4 pm followed by the annual awards ceremony.
