Thankfully, no injuries were reported after a charter bus went off Interstate 35 between Emporia’s Burlingame and East Sixth exits and crashed into a grove of trees early Sunday.
Lyon County Emergency Communications says the wreck involving a Crossroad Tours bus happened at mile marker 132 northbound shortly after 1 am. Investigation details are still pending, but there are currently no indications any other vehicle was involved.
I-35 northbound traffic was constricted to one lane around the crash site, first for initial investigation work and then to move the bus from the scene. Southbound traffic was unaffected.
