Emporia’s Spartan Boxing Club traveled to the Little Apple for competition Saturday.
Three Spartan Boxers stepped inside the ring in Manhattan including 22-year-old heavyweight Darin Neal who won his bout via third-round stoppage. Neal now improves to 2-0 as an amateur.
15-year-old Gerardo Nunez lost a hard fought bout at 162 lbs by decision. Junior Robles’ 150 lbs bout ended was ruled a no contest.
