Lyon County deputies say three family members were taken to Newman Regional Health after a crash between Emporia and Neosho Rapids on Friday.
Deputy Fernando Zuniga says the crash unfolded on Interstate 35 near mile marker 138 just before 11 am. Zuniga says 29-year-old Lucas Halydier of Hillsboro was northbound when a rear tire blew out on his SUV, causing the vehicle to roll into the median.
Halydier was taken to Newman Regional Health for suspected injuries, as wsa 25-year-old Ariel Halydier and their one-year-old son. All were properly secured at the time of the wreck.

Emporia Fire says two people were hurt and hospitalized after a wreck east of Emporia on Friday.
One vehicle crashed and rolled on Interstate 35 near mile marker 138, between Emporia and Neosho Rapids, shortly before 11 am. Fire Capt. Willie Ward says two people suffered apparently minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health. A third person was not hurt.
