When you have a historic building approaching a major anniversary, you plan a big celebration. And that’s exactly what is in store in Cottonwood Falls next month.
In fact, the 150th anniversary for the Chase County Courthouse is just over a month away. Activities begin Oct. 6 with a parade, followed by high school football, and a lot of music. Chase County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Toni Schneider with more:
The Oct. 7 schedule is busy as well, featuring a car show, 5K fun run, courthouse tours, a model train display, children’s activities, a beer garden and more live music.
A time capsule ceremony, courthouse tribute and fireworks will conclude the night.
