Lyon County commissioners could finish off this year’s budget cycle as part of their action session Thursday.
Commissioners will have a public hearing on the 2024 budget at 10:30 am before voting on the document. Commissioners will also have a public hearing on exceeding the revenue-neutral rate at 10 am before a vote to approve that document.
In other business, county commissioners could approve a “geotechnical engineering services” agreement with Terracon as the county moves towards replacing a bridge on Road 70 west of Olpe. Estimated cost for the quote is $8,600.
Commission and staff reports are on the agenda. Three executive sessions are listed, two for non-elected personnel and one for legal matters.
The meeting is at 9 am at the County Courthouse Commission Chambers and follows Wednesday’s study meeting involving interviews for the county’s human resources director after the recent departure of Janice Huffman.
