Senior Darian Chadwick will be playing No. 1 doubles with Ashlynn Foraker. Chadwick says this week is key with two opportunities to improve on the court.
Senior Danika Williams will be playing No. 2 singles. Sophomore Kali Keough will be playing No. 1 singles. The No. 2 doubles teams will be made up of sophomores Peyton Chanley and Kinsley Hines.
Thursday’s meet is the first of two this week for the Lady Spartans who host a tournament that begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the EHS tennis courts.
The Emporia High girls golf team travels to Topeka for the Seaman Invitational.
Senior Ella Fessler is coming off an eighth-place finish in last Tuesday’s EHS Invitational. Fessler says she’s seen improvement already heading into the second tournament of the season.
Also playing for Emporia High will be Elise Eckert, Nicole Dalton, Hayden Mann, and Kelsey Shull.
