Record turnout is in store for Emporia’s Great American Market on Saturday.
Emporia Main Street Director Casey Woods says over 200 vendors will be part of the event.
Local vendors will participate. So will vendors from across Kansas and several states. Woods is also pleased to see a number of downtown merchants participating, including some out of the Great American Market area. He says the growth is due to one simple reason: people love the event and its format.
The market is from 7 am to 4 pm on Commercial from Sixth to 12th. Woods reminds residents to move their vehicles off Commercial before 3 am Saturday or else those vehicles will be towed. He also reminded residents to not use nearby alleys near Commercial because vendors will need those through the event.
