Sentencing has been delayed for a man who has accepted a plea agreement on charges of unlawful voluntary sexual relations.
Isaac Arron Lawrence was set for sentencing Thursday, but that was pushed to Oct. 6 with offender evaluation results pending at the time of the originally-scheduled hearing.
Lawrence was initially charged in December with counts of aggravated indecent liberties and rape after alleged illegal contact with a then-16-year-old just before Christmas 2021. He was also charged with furnishing alcohol to a pair of minors for alleged activity at the same time. He accepted an Alford plea in May — meaning the defendant proclaims his or her innocence but admits there is enough evidence to convict.
