The Emporia High cross country teams held their lone home invitational Saturday at Jones Park.
The Emporia High girls finished seventh as a team. Freshman Madison Evans was the first Lady Spartan to finish, recording a time of 20:13 and taking 11th. Freshman Emma Beatty finished 15th with a time of 20:32.5.
Senior Micah Sheffy-Harris finished 32nd (21:23.3) while sophomore Bailee VanSickle finished 34th (21:23.9).
On the boys side, junior Daghyn True finished sixth with a time of 16:16.4.
The Spartans did not field a full team to record a team score. Junior Gideon Lowery was the second Spartan to finish, finishing in 59th with a time of 18:12.7.
Emporia High travels to Baldwin City for the Baldwin Invitational next Saturday.
