It’s been a busy start to the season for the Emporia High gymnastics team.
After taking second at Newton on Thursday, the Lady Spartans competed in the Lawrence Free State Invitational on Saturday and finished eighth as a team.
Laney Cooper had the top finish for Emporia High taking third in vault with a score of 8.9. It was Cooper’s third top-3 finish of the week after finishing second in both vault and beam at Newton.
Emporia High travels to the Olathe Invitational on Tuesday.
