A Eureka man is dead after two vehicles collided near BETO Junction on Wednesday evening.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened just after 6 pm on US Highway 75 just south of the Interstate 35 junction. Troopers say 51-year-old Angelo Turner of Eureka was southbound on US-75, while a semi driven by 67-year-old Johnnie Snodgrass of Mound City was leaving the truck stop and in the process of turning north. For unlisted reasons, Turner hit one of the semi’s axles.
Turner was pronounced dead shortly after the crash. Snodgrass was not hurt.
