Northern Heights held the Karr Classic Thursday at The Orchard.
Olpe’s Kaleb Arnold won the boys race with a time of 16:57. Northern Heights’ Ellei McCrory won the girls race with a time of 18:43.
Other top area finishers on the boys side include Chase County’s Silus Hernandez who finished second. Northern Heights’ Cooper Hamlin was fourth. Chase County’s Carson Schroer finished seventh. Council Grove’s Jadyn Picolet finished eight. Northern Heights’ Rees Spade was ninth and Chase County’s Tate Morgan finished 10th.
Chase County was second as a team with 63 points. Osage City was third with 71. Northern Heights was fourth with 73 and Council Grove finished sixth.
Other top area finishers on the girls side include Osage City’s Emory Speece who finished second, while fellow teammate Jaiton Bosse finished fourth. Northern Heights’ Josie Tiffany and Laura Cathcart were eighth and ninth. Chase County’s Sadie Mushrush finished 10th.
The Osage City girls won the team title with a score of 36 while Northern Heights was second with 42.
