Downtown Cottonwood Falls had to deal with a power outage Saturday morning.
The Chase County Sheriff’s Office says a transformer caught fire along Main between Pine and Broadway around 7:45 am. The pole was eventually replaced, allowing the city to reopen the street.
Evergy says almost 330 customers were affected. Power was restored around 1 pm.
